I went into this book not thinking I’d finish it. I didn’t like the main character (which I think is a bit by design) and I thought that the book would be a sell out in terms of repercussions not really being had and the MC getting away with her behavior just because she’s had a rough past, and yet…

This book surprised me! It was a genuinely thoughtful look into how social media affects our empathy and perception of the world around us, and I think the ending was the best part for me. There were so many good conversations and openness that really made the whole thing all the more endearing, and I’d highly recommend to anyone who spends a little too much time on socials. I also really loved getting to see this story from the POV of a woman of color— it made it all the more impactful, in my opinion.
