The Future is one answer to our collective worries about the unaccountable billionaire class, the impact of algorithms and AI, pandemics, climate change - the rapidly approaching end times that doesn’t really seem like paranoia. Naomi Alderman is brilliant, and she doesn’t let that get in the way of a fully engrossing, captivating story.
