Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

But back then I thought music was just about music. But music is never about music. If it was, we'd be writing songs about guitars. But we don't. We write songs about women.

This book made me completely reevaluate all the other books that I've read so far this year. It made me completely understand why [a:Taylor Jenkins Reid|6572605|Taylor Jenkins Reid|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1493925431p2/6572605.jpg] gets all the recognition that they do. It's very well deserved.

At first, I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to enjoy the book because it's written like interviews, and that's just not something that I thought I could vibe with. But, after awhile, you reach a point where it's not even something you really notice. And, the story made me want to do literally nothing else but read. Unfortunately, life still moves on, and I had to do things like go to work, and sleep. If neither of those had needed to happen, I would have been done the same day.

I think this book will be a modern classic. I think this will be a go to recommendation for me. When people ask me what to read, I'm going to tell them this.
