This was a really good book - it's been a long time since I've read a graphic novel, and I don't think I've ever read a nonfic/memoir graphic novel, so this was a really interesting read. I'm glad I had to read this for book club; I've seen this book around a lot but never would've gotten around to reading it. The sexual assault scenes took me by surprise, although perhaps they shouldn't have, given the setting. The way she depicted those scenes in particular was really well done, and very realistic - it wasn't graphic, but it showed the way time seems to slow down,  and it depicted the dissassociation/out of body experience really well. The whole book was an exploration of the microcosm of camp life as a woman, and it didn't shy away from showing the good and bad of the experience. I also loved how she used semi-connected vignettes to show time passing - you could feel the monotony broken up by the small moments.
