Kresley Cole novella arc: enemies (or rivals) > you are so hot > mortal danger > are you my mate > mortal danger > banging > you are my mate! > mortal danger and we can never be together > we are stronger together, so I guess we're together. To be fair, a Kresley Cole novel is much the same, just add in more banging and more mortal danger.
This was a lot of fun- read at Halloween for maximum effect. I enjoyed the way KC resolved the plot. As I had just recently reread the rest of the series, i could sense differences in resolution in a 2024 publication than she might have chosen 15 years ago.
I guess this is 4⭐️ because I prefer more torture in my IAD books 😅😅 Rök and Poppy needed to suffer more emotional damage first
