Green Lantern, Volume 1: No Fear by Geoff Johns

Most of my knowledge of Green Lantern comes from DCAU (S:TAS, JLU, etc), so this was a nice solid read for fans like me that haven't had too much exposure to Hal Jordan's character, or his rogues gallery. However, the book does not mesh well with the final issue with some random shark dude showing up. Some other rogues such as Black Hand also make an appearance, but were uninteresting to me, although I did love the reappearance of the Manhunters.
Overall, the majority of this is still a good read as it dives mostly into Hal's character and history. I seemed to have missed a significant event by not reading about Green Lantern's Rebirth before hand, but this volume is still very well understandable and enjoyable.
