I know I’ve read too much enemies-to-lovers when I was routing for Caide at some points as he seemed to have more complexity than the love interest.
While so many historical tidbits were so fun for me as a Revolutionary history fan, I did have a problem with the decision to make the Lorings’ rebel sympathizers without much evidence while her husbands actions hurt so many prisoners of war.
But overall, it was an enthralling story with enough romance and historical accuracy to keep me reading.
