The Murder House by James Patterson

3.0

So yes 3 stars. Not that I didn't like this book, but it had a few flaws I didn't like. First of all, I do love a good few plot shocking twists in books and REALLY good plot lines which that did have. But my two flaws I did have with this book was how it ended up having WAY TOO MANY shocking twists and turns for me They were clever I'll give it that but I felt when I got to the last few chapters of the story, I felt like the twists "slammed" and bunched together all at once too fast, and a bit "overwhelming." Still loved the storyline and did keep me on the edge of my seat, but that was only one flaw. Too many twists all slamming together at once and too "overwhelming." My last flaw would be the very end. To me after all of those twists, it was as if Patterson and the other writer didn't quite know how to end this (which I'm sure they did but this is my perspective) and thought, "let's throw this random ending out and call it good."

Okay, but what about the rest of the characters? The killer aftermath? How long are they in prison for? What about Jenna and her partner Ricketts and the chief of police? What happened with them? And what about her new love interest? In a way I kinda hope there's another book like a continuation because I felt there were some characters left open with holes for me personally that needs to be patched up. But not my favorite book. It did creep me out at most parts until near the end when all those twists kept piling and piling up and just got old. But if you really like Patterson books you'll really like this one. (And it would honestly make a pretty good movie suspense/thriller and also makes an appealing movie title too lol)
