What a heartwarming read to kick off 2024! Granted, I didn’t read the back or do any research, so I didn’t realize at first that this story is YA. But I truly enjoyed it, especially as I’ve come to admire stories about women in chess (I’m a Queen’s Gambit fan, yes).
Ali Hazelwood does it again, writing another story about a space for women which they are normally discouraged from occupying. Giving this one 3.75 stars only because I’m not super into the YA writing!
