Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

5.0

So powerful, moving, emotional, and disturbing. From one angle, this was just a girl's diary, showing to us her thoughts that were at times careless, flippant, arrogant, and even mean, but also poignant, innocent, and naive. But I was amazed at her skill in writing, as well as her candor. What a tragedy - not just for her and her family, but for all of us - that she did not get a chance to grow, mature, and make a mark on the world, aside from that felt in its absence, through her diary.
