Hans
by S.J. Tilly
5/5 Stars
3/5 Spice
4/5 Narration Jack Calihan and Chloe Ryan returned for the final book. They once again were fantastic!
Tropes:
Neighbors to Lovers
Age Gap (9 years)
Mutual Pining
Insta Love
Obsessive/Possessive MMC
Curvy FMC
Stalker
Vigilante
Loss of Loved One
Daddy/Little Girl
Touch Her & Die
She Bakes for Him
Her Nurses Him
This was my favorite in the series! The book had me in a choke hold the moment Hans stomped over to Cassie's house and demands to know who the boudoir photos that were "mistakenly" delivered to his house were actually for. Before this interaction, the man had literally spoken 1 word to her in a year. I love an obsessed man. This story had a great mix of sexual chemistry/spice, cute fluff, and action.
Hans has spent the last 20 years taking out members that are part of various human trafficking rings. A cause that is close to his heart due to his past. He is essentially a recluse and likes it that way. Until a certain curvy woman moves in next door.
Cassie is captivated by him, and in an attempt to get him to talk to her, leaves baked good at his door for an entire year. This was adorable, and what makes it better is that she is a terrible baker, but Hans' eats every bite just because she makes them...if that isn't love.
I loved the spice in this one. It is intense pretty quickly, which shocked me. Booty play is usually saved for the later chapters, if at all.
The conflict felt appropriate and fit the story well. I think the pacing was perfect. I enjoyed the resolution; it was not what I anticipated.
