Nobody Told Me: Poetry and Parenthood
by Hollie McNish
I love Hollie McNish's poetry – nobody talks more honestly or more humanly about being a mother, and her poetry blends the personal and the political nicely. That said, this book falls apart because the prose drags, the political commentary isn't saying anything new to her (predominantly left-wing) audience, and is just less interesting than the poetry.
