What Is the What by Dave Eggers

This is a harrowing story, based on the real life experiences of one of the "lost boys" of Sudan. The horrors he experienced are often difficult to stomach. The story itself is definitely 4 or 5 stars, and it's an issue everyone should know about, but I didn't love Dave Eggers writing style and that's why I gave it only 3 stars.
