This was a fascinating book about the long process of bringing Eichmann to justice in Israel. It was absolutely infuriating to read about the ways in which Eichmann never reckoned with his actions, and was supported by Argentina and his adopted community there.

The section of the book dealing with the kidnapping and (illegal) extradition of Eichmann was so tense it read like a thriller. The plane had to be lightened by removing seats and extra weight so that it could make it to Israel from Argentina with minimal fuel stops. The El Al crew didn't know who they were transporting until after he had boarded. I was on the edge of my seat, even knowing the outcome. It was also interesting to read about how Eichmann was guarded in Israel by prison staff who had no personal connections to the Holocaust (which seems impossible) so that he could be brought the justice safely. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in WWII, the Holocaust, and post-World War II-history.
