I am not enjoying this and am ready to give up. This is such a shame as Madame Bovary is one of my favourites, I am very disappointed.
I find their constant incompetence and failures infuriating rather than amusing. I can see what Flaubert was trying to satire with the constant search for knowledge in subjects that were beyond their capabilities. Too cynical for me. NEXT!!!!!
