An excellent follow-up to the first book. I'm enjoying the different voices and experiences represented in the book and starting to make some predictions about the coming drama and the history of some of the very long lasting characters.
"Experiential note": I don't love it that there are different narrators for the audiobooks in a trilogy. Having different voices represent the same characters in different ways is really messing with some of the dialogue for me. This problem becomes much more pronounced in the third book, which I'm listening to now. Some of the most important and distinctive characters are changing in my mind due to the qualities of their voices, as represented by the narrators. Something to think about. This may not be a big deal for someone if they don't "binge listen" the whole trilogy at the same time.
