this book broke me. i’m in awe of how violently some scenes were described. -1 star for the n word with the hard R and the ending
after 20 pages of ralph getting chased to his death (keeping in mind all previous acts of violence and deaths) i really thought they would get to him and that he would die. i don’t know if this makes me a fucked up person but i lowkey wanted to read another scene of 12 year old boys violently killing off another peer. also the fire parallel was really upsetting because ralph was finally proven correct, the fire did help them get rescued. only if jack had gotten his shit together in the beginning and had taken care of the fire like he was supposed to…
