Disappointing. Not recommended if you were expecting character development. I find it hard to believe Meg is supposed to be a major player in war between humanity and the Others when she does fuck all and is kept sequestered away from all the major conflicts.
Simon and Montgomery are the heroes of this book, but I resent the fact the series are continually marketed as if there's a heroine blazing the way. Also "gaggle of females", really.
