H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald

5.0

I had to give this book a good five stars, because I (think) it was what got me interested in ornithology. In my opinion this work is both a memoir, and a reverence of nature. I was delighted by Macdonald's images of the gossamer in the field, and of her peculiar goshawk. On the other hand, it raises striking points about the relationship between humanity and nature.
