Even though I know this is written by Ruskin Bond - write par excellence, I can not believe this was written when he was at the tender age of seventeen! The fluidity, the way of describing things - it's just beyond me.
The story is simple - not much of a plot, but it is real and innocent. You can feel the truth resonate through the pages, feel Rusty's emotions in your hands as you read each sentence, each page, each chapter.
