For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway

Ughhhhhhh this book was annoying, that is the only word I can use to describe it ANNOYING! First of all it was two descriptive, I could of taken out half of the content and the book would have still made sense if not more sense. Second of all I did not feel emotionally bound to the characters, I found myself not caring what would happen at the bridge because I didn't really care what would happen to anyone. Third Pablo; When I think about the character Pablo I think of the saying 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me'. Pablo was a creep and a murderer, but somehow he kept on being accepted back into the group even though he did terrible things! It also really pissed be off that Robert Jordan refused to go to El Sordo's aid when Jordan is the reason that El Sordo and his band are being killed. The worst part though was the ending, SO STUPID! After getting through blowing up the bridge (which he was sure he was going to die doing) he brakes his leg falling off a horse. Now instead of trying ANYTHING AT ALL to fix his leg, or get medical attention, or heroically cutting it off he says goodbye to Maria, not even letting her stay to say goodbye and just waits for someone to shoot him.
