I wanted to love this more. Good, not great. It had so much promise. An invitation to Amaya’s estranged best friend’s wedding reveals that she is marrying none other than Amaya’s ex-boyfriend. Come Hell, high water, or death, this wedding is not happening and Amaya will make sure of it. Not everyone is leaving this event alive.
I was really interested in reading about Sri Lankan culture and customs and I loved that back drop of the story. What I struggled with was the characters themselves. The interview style was interesting, but the characters didn’t grab me. I wasn’t attached to any of them because I really din’t like any of them.
The story was somewhat predictable, with a few twists, but overall a little forgettable once I was finished. Fun enough to read but it won’t stick with me.
