actual peak. also if you're not reading the author's note at the end, you're reading it wrong. i haven't been this invested in a book for YEARS. i actually dehydrated myself and starved myself through the last 200 pages of the book because i couldn't stop reading it. i felt so whimsical and magical and distraught and like happy to feel those emotions you know? if you look into it enough, which i did, its so atlab core it's not even funny but like not in the way that it's referenced towards it at all but just with similar dynamics but if zuko and katara became a thing you know? the beginning was a little rough with the transitions so i think if the book was like 700-800 pages long it would've been absolutely perfect but i also get why it wasn't and i respect that. also the romance dynamic was just so right until it got a little obsessive because he actually KNEW ! you know i can't really explain unless you've also read the book so lets see if i can remember when book club comes along. if it ever does come along... cough cough ktl and mama cough cough. ugh i can't stop thinking about it.
