this book was amazing. I went into it expecting to diskile it because I usually don’t like fantasy and also because of the controversial reviews but I ended up loving it. it’s certainly not for sensitive people. It’s messed up sometimes. It’s brutal but it’s also great. I loved Damen’s character and even Laurent was likable sometimes. but I mostly have a love hate relationship with Laurent. I seriously hope he’ll have some good character development in the next books but all in all the complexity of his character was well written because half the time I wanted to punch him in the face lol
