There is some disagreement about the order of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot books. Goodreads lists Murder on the Links as #2 but other list call it the third in the series. The narrator is the voice of Captain Hastings, Poirot's Dr. Watson. Poirot and Hastings are called to a house in France and arrive to find that the person who asked for help has been murdered. His body was found on the edge of a golf course no less. While enjoyable to read this book had a few improbably twist and turns. I think Christie and Poirot got better in later books.
