This book made me mad for all the right reasons. Mad for all those who were impacted by the KKK and all the horrific acts they have done and how it still has an impact today. I am so appreciative of the author who included so many historic pieces from the 1910s, including Stone Mountain (which I had to look up because I wasn't even aware of it). The ending had me sad for Maryse, just because family is everything, even if it's our chosen family.

Only one word for P. Djèlí Clark - bravo.
