Taylor is on a vacation with her brother Jude in Cape Cod, she hopes this will help him recover from a recent loss. As they pull into the driveway of their rental home, Taylor is looking forward to the tub she saw in the house's pictures before renting it. She didn't expect to discover a corpse. She has been a true-crime consumer for years, and she thinks she can crack the case. Her efforts will soon be squashed when a grumpy bounty hunter comes to repay a favor. Myles likes to ride solo, and isn't looking into having a partner to share his life, not even mention help him solve this case. They are attracted to each other, and even if Myles doesn't like it, he'll have to pay close attention to Taylor if he wants to keep her safe.
This was too insta-lovy and cheesy. I didn't like the pairing though I did like the smut scenes. Tessa Bailey does know how to write them well. Is this a romantic suspense? I don't know, I've never read one before; but I feel like this is more a romance with some murder-mystery bits.
