I previously read Alex Finley‘s other book every last fear and I really enjoyed it. The Night Shift is another quick paced thriller that is extremely well written that makes you want to keep reading. I alternated between the physical book and the audio and I highly recommend the audio. We are following a case that is eerily similar to a murder 15 years prior at a local Blockbuster. Several teenage girls who were working the night shift at a local ice cream parlor are brutally murdered but there is one survivor. We begin to realize that these cases are connected but we’re not sure how. The first half of the book was very engaging and I was very interested in it but after the halfway point it wasn’t as exciting to me. I did find that the last 20 or so pages peaked my interest again. Overall it was not as strong as Every Last Fear but I did enjoy it and it was very unputdownable/
