Clade by James Bradley

A short novel that reads more like short stories strung together. I liked it a lot, even though the back cover blurb led me to believe there would be a whole lot more about bees and a certain character. Bradley did a good job setting the narrative in a not-too-distant future, mainly in my hometown of Sydney, but also London. There was nothing too unfamiliar, yet the future portrayed is entirely possible (including a depiction of a global pandemic emerging from of a lab in Taiwan, scary to read in these COVID times) The ending is ultimately hopefully, and I like the way the author spanned time.
