Homecoming
by Kate Morton
Homecoming was just as brilliant as I could have imagined. I can't ever say enough about Kate Morton's writing. She is by far my favorite author, and her books are my most beloved friends. Homecoming joined the likes of The Distant Hours and The Secret Garden at the very top of my most treasured reads quite quickly. As ever, Kate Morton's twisty-turny plot lines were top tier in this book and her characters so well developed that it sometimes it's hard to remember they're not real people. The best part of Kate Morton's writing is that no matter how twisted the story may become, tangled with truths and lies and hidden secrets just like our human reality, I always know the ending will never leave me hanging. Once I've completed a Morton novel, I will never have leftover questions about the plot line and I will feel satisfied, a little emotional, and hungry for her next book!
