I think it probably violates sci-fi laws to complain about this book, luckily I don't feel the need to. I was surprised (and maybe a little relieved) to realise that it's more of a 'fix up' novel, a series of connected stories. So while the themes are fairly deep it's not too heavy or complicated a read,  and once you've got the three laws you don't need to know/remember a lot of lore. (Also it means nothing is spoiled by having watched a film of the same name first... there's very little relation).
I can see why it's a classic, it's good, insightful sci-fi but still accessible to someone less familiar with the genre.
