What an intimate and heart-wrenching letter from a truly incredible writer. I listened to the audiobook, read by the author, and I think it is the best way to experience this work. This is such a deeply personal glimpse into the black experience in America. I can't imagine living under the fear, carrying the history of disembodiment, and having to continue to grapple with the rampant racism and casteism that is ever present in our country. I'm grateful for voices like Ta-Nehisi Coates' to share their experience first hand, and we must listen.
