Generation One by Pittacus Lore

I really enjoyed this book more than I was expecting. It had a slightly slower start for me, but once we had been introduced to all of the characters the plot started to move forward at a faster pace. The adventure part of the book was entertaining and the conclusion what one would suspect for the first book in the new series. I enjoyed the fight between the Harvesters and the Garde and the healing Taylor could do and the final fight. However, I never felt all that connected to the characters. For instance, usually in books I enjoy I feel emotionally invested in the characters and that wasn't really the case here. It just seemed like the author didn't try hard enough to develop empathy n the readers. Also, the end of the book seemed to rush up and all of a sudden the action was over. But, overall it was an entertaining and easy read.
