The Vampire Lestat will always be perfect in my eyes. But can someone tell me why I forgot an entire major character?!?! Gabrielle is in like 60% of the book and yet I have zero recollection of her taking part in any of story! It has been a couple of decades, but I've read this book at least 4 times before that! I am highly disappointed with myself. Clearly she didn't make as big of an impact as Marius did for me... good gravy I love that vamp! I find it so interesting how innocent and impressionable Lestat sees himself in comparison to the way Armand and Louis see him as being manipulative. This was a great re-reading journey to be able to see how he became who he is at the point where he joins the conversation after Interview. I did have one complaint... Simon Vance is an INCREDIBLE NARRATOR!! But my brain was desperately wanting it to be Sam Reed's voice! So I'm putting it out in the universe to get a new versions with Sam & Jacob?
