What a ride! These two guys are so cute and hot together and I need the next book asap!

First and foremost, this is a slow-burn paranormal romance (so far HFN) with one central plot line (ending on a cliffhanger, but nothing too intense) that is also accompanied by other "episodic" plot lines. I consider this a slow burn because the men get intimate in the book's second half, but it is also not a slow burn because it only takes days for them to engage in any intimacy. And once they got intimate. Oh wow. They are so hot and steamy. And just a tiny bit kinky.

I admit that I loved the MCs the most. Ari is such a sweetheart but also has his own moral compass and is not afraid to show it. Eoghan is down bad from the get-go, but he has to be the mentor and voice of reason and follow the rules - so he holds his attraction back. They matched together very well. Other side characters were unique and loveable (the revelations at the end? I cannot wait to see how it will turn out).

The episodes where the men deal with multiple paranormal species and situations were often quite funny. And I was unsure if it was supposed to be that way because the book's tone is quite serious overall. Yet I think it was well-balanced. Some names threw me off a bit, but nothing too major.

There are lots of sharing stories and revealing histories of species but also relationships. And I loved when Ari and Eoghan shared these quiet, unhurried moments and talked.

This was my first book by the author, and definitely not the last!

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews - thank youuuu - and this is my honest review.
