The Orphan of Cemetery Hill by Hester Fox

2.5

I’m DNFing this very basic book but I want to get credit for getting through 45% of it. It’s a great set up—girl ends up sheltering in a cemetery in late 19th century Boston who can communicate with the dead. The writer seems to think it’s okay then to right a pretty simplistic romance story with tinges of a murder mystery without digging into history, culture, anything. This story has very little meat and the heroine might as well have been wandering around modern-day Boston pining for a jerk of a dude. Ugh.
