4.0

Although unfinished, complex and a bit confusing at times, what Ralph Ellison crafted is a rich, textured novel, written in stream-of-consciousness style, which weaves together race, identity, politics, religion, and folklore that’ll take a while to grasp due to how layered it is. Ellison’s unfinished manuscript exceeds 2,000 pages. According to the editor, he had a way to go that could’ve turned the work into a 3 book volume. I def need to read Three Days Before the Shooting….
