Anne could see her life through the window of Green Gables–a future filled with worthy work, sincere friendships, and unknowable adventures–and she realized that her world was bigger than she had ever imagined it to be.

As someone who has never read the original Anne of Green Gables novel, I can't say how accurate this graphic novel is in telling the story.

What I can say is how much I really, really, really enjoyed being in this graphic novel. Between the story itself, the pacing and of course, the illustrations (Thummler has yet to disappoint in that department).

I truly believe anyone can enjoy this graphic novel, whether you've read the original novel or not or regardless of age.

This will be revisited multiple times in my life and maybe, just maybe, I will read the original novel/series.
