This was a fun holiday read! I felt the characters had lots of layers and that you really got to know the town dynamic and the supporting characters as well. I’m always a sucker for enemies to lovers and I also really appreciated the generalized anxiety disorder and therapy representation. This book adds some much needed differing perspective to the holiday romance genre and I think that’s great. What I didn’t love: Some of the dialogue felt a bit forced, and I could not handle all the “dude” repetitiveness (even though it’s called out as an aspect of that character’s personality, it really took me out of the story after awhile). That said, there’s a lot to like in this one!
Graphic: Mental illness
Minor: Miscarriage
