Stephen King is one of my all-time favorite authors, and there will never be a time when I don't automatically buy one of his books upon release, often without even reading the synopsis first, because I know I'm going to at least LIKE it. And I wouldn't say anything about that has changed. The book is well-written, I love the main character and always have, and there's nothing particularly negative to say about any of it. I think the problem for me was simply down to the fact that I, personally, am ready for Holly's story to be finished. I don't love her any less than I always have, I'm simply ready for something new. That and the relatively slow pace made this one a bit of a slog for me, but that is entirely a matter of personal taste and it won't have any effect on my tendency to buy a new King every time one releases.
Moderate: Death, Gore, Mental illness, Violence, Blood, Kidnapping, Stalking, Murder, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Vomit, Pandemic/Epidemic
