Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law by Mary Roach

informative medium-paced

3.0

I think my challenge with Roach's books is that I go in expecting one thing (funny deep-dives into different, serious subjects) and find myself reading a surface-level, lighthearted view of a topic, that is neither funny nor deep. She scratches the surface of these fascinating topics without ever diving deep enough to keep my interest for long. This book in particular was a challenging read because overall it's just sad - nature wouldn't be "breaking the law" if we hadn't shown up and started living in their homes. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it felt like this book just came up short
