The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston
3.0
2.5/5
I will say that I am scared of funerals and all that type of jargon so this could be marred by my opinion of them so take my review with a grain of salt .
I thought it was cringe The way she would bring up other contemporary romance books like the hating game. "Lol me and my gay brother are so fun and we totally make comparisons to the hating game and each other we're not like other books"
Will aren't read, but I will suspend my disbelief since technically there are ghosts in here, so the whole story is fake anyways.
It was really obvious what had happened to Ben. Like there's no plot twist. I am a passenger princess reader, so I don't try to solve any books. I just like to be there for the vibes, but it was so obvious that it was slapping me in the face.
That was hardly in a romance for a title that had the word romance in it.
TL;DR: the book itself is not bad. There are some glaring mistakes if you don't read a lot of romance books or you don't mind repetition then it's fine, but I've read so many romance books that when it becomes too repetitive or uses the same tropes, it's very boring and bland to me.
