This book had a lot of potential, but failed to deliver on much of its potential. It had some pacing issues, being slow in the middle and too fast at the end. I maintain that it should have been a trilogy, which I think would have forced the author to solve the problems with the book. I enjoyed the multiple perspectives and they way they interwove, although some felt underdeveloped. The world building was the same, with some regions feeling immersive and others like afterthoughts. There was so much I enjoyed about the book that it felt like a let down for it not to be better.
