Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro

5.0

“There was something very special, but it wasn’t inside Josie. It was inside those who loved her,” Klara says.

Klara and the sun: this is a story about the relationship between a 14 yr old girl and her doll - which is artificial intelligence. A sweet, heart-warming and very kind Klara (the doll) goes through the journey from being purchased at the store to the departure of the girl- Josie when she comes to the age to go to College. The story represents the perception of Klara, and her faith in the sun (as a God, or the symbol for the Highest Hope). She prays to the sun, she observes every little detail and the everyday flow of life, Klara seems something definitely out-of-world phenomena. She is so kind that listening to her (as I read the Audiobook version) just melts the heart every time.

In the last chapter, the Goodbye between the girl and the doll made me feel with such a strong burst of emotions that my chest actually got toughen up, my heart bit slowed to minimal rate, and I felt both loneliness- for Josie was naturally got stranded away from the Clara eventually, and love - for Klara was content with the good luck and very positive perception that she was blessed to engineered with.

and now i realize how true end might feel like!!
