The Children Who Lived in a Barn by Eleanor Graham

This is one of my favorite books of all time having been a childhood favorite. As an adult I found myself yearning to reread it. It was a beautiful reprint of it a few years ago and dip into it once in a while. It's a simple story but I just love how the children are resilient and creative. Meanwhile the adults (including their own parents) can barely be relied upon for anything. That such a thing really appeals to a child's imagination, but also their worst fears.
