Mixed feelings! Cute! I love the movie (because I’m a cornball), and reading the book made me mourn for all the fun and informative parts the movie left out. I always feel strange reading a book about WW2 where they make the point that not *all* nazis are bad, for really obvious reasons. I know it wasn’t anywhere near to the main point, and the book demonstrated well at showing the absolute atrocities committed by the nazis, but still. Raises my hackles whenever I read a “not all of them” story.

Moving on from that though- the romance! Sweet! Miscommunication trope, which seemed strange and out of place, but what can you do for a romance written in 2007. I was grateful Mark wasn’t a huge part of it.

All my qualms set aside, this was a sweet quick read. I think it’ll help get me out of a reading slump, which is another plus.
