I can see why people compare it to the hunger games, but it think the set up of it is very different and while the premise is similar, I found myself not really comparing the two as other people say they have.
It starts off heart wrenching and stays that way. Darrow’s grief and rage are amazing to read. The set up of rebellion, the themes of this book easily come through but not in an overly heavy handed way.
