It's cool to see Maggie Stiefvater developing her writing chops. And that's probably the ONLY THING THAT WOULD CAUSE ME TO READ A BOOK PRINTED IN RED FONT. I stuck it out through the blue. Through the green. But what kind of--you must really hate someone to want them to read 380 pages of red writing. Right? Is there any other reason on earth why you would do that? I don't think so.
In other news, I don't think I've ever complained about the way that Sam composes lyrics in his head. Other people might like this. It annoys me.
But this book made me homesick for Minnesota again, for Boundary Waters and long freezing cold springs that take forever to give way into blooming.
