This volume is essentially about a multi sided battle that becomes a standoff. It’s absolutely wonderful if you’ve ever enjoyed fight episodes of battle heavy anime. We also learn things about the characters that give the book a quite emotional slant. It’s wonderful.
Graphic: Addiction, Alcoholism, Body horror, Bullying, Death, Gore, Slavery, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Grief, Religious bigotry, Death of parent, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship, Abandonment, Alcohol, Colonisation, War, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
There’s a lot violence and betrayal in this volume. There’s a lot of discussion about what does morality and love mean in their brutal world where violence seems to be the most consistent presence in the world. We learn so much about the characters and their histories. I’m absolutely loving this series. This volume is filled to the brim with action while doing it with expanded characterization that’s giving so much insight to the cast.
