A moving story about systemic corporeal and mental imprisonment. Although I found myself with more questions about the Memory Police than answers (“How did they become this?”, “For what purpose do these ongoings serve?”, “Where do their prisoners go, and what happens to them?”), it was fitting to be in a situation much like the characters in the novel - knowing that these answers were likely disappeared with their memories.
